Had your fill of crawfish, seafood, and other delicious Gulf Coast fare? Don’t put away your bib just yet! Tuck it back in and head straight to September’s largest culinary event on the Gulf Coast!
Well-known restaurateurs from Panama City to New Orleans join the 11th Annual Pensacola Taste of the Beach, which features fun and mouth watering events such as cook-offs, cooking demonstrations, chef challenges, sample tastings and live music, all in one hot and spicy spot. Usually held during the third Saturday of September, entry to the all day festival is free!
Named one of the Top 20 large-scale events by the Southeast Tourism Society, world-class restaurateurs from Panama City to New Orleans join the festival.
Entry is free, and last year’s event featured 23 local restaurants showcasing their signature dishes for just $5 each! Jere Doyle of Crabs We Got ‘Em, Dan Dunn of the Hilton Gulf Front’s H2O, Josh Warner of The Grand Marlin, Dennis Moore of Flounder’s Chowder House, and John Smith of Hemingway’s Island Grill wowed last year’s crowds with simultaneous cooking demonstrations emceed by Cat Country radio personality Brent Lane.
Delectable dishes will compete with multiple activities for your attention. And last year’s Saturday evening concert featured local faves the White Tie Rock Ensemble, who rock and rolled the beach with their spot-on renditions of classic hits by Journey, Aerosmith, The Eagles and Van Halen. So bring your dancing shoes, along with the whole family, and start that diet in October!
